Model: Demurrage & Detentions Conditions

The Demurrage and Detention (DnD) data presents the compensation for utilising the port, terminal or depot or inland container yard facilities (Detention) and the compensation incurred for utilisation of equipment beyond the agreed free time days inside terminals or depots (Demurrage or Storage). For export, storage in terminal or port will start when the full container gates in and ends when it is loaded on board the vessel.

Data description

A Demurrage and Detention Condition has the following attributes:

  • direction : The direction for which the DnD data applies. Currently, only the import direction is supported.

  • chargeType : The charge type. The accepted values are Demurrage, Detention or Storage

  • containerSizeType : The container size type for which the charge applies

  • commodity : The commodity type for which the charge applies

  • freetimeStartEvent : The event which triggers the start of free time period

  • freetimeGrantInDays : The number of days for which there is free time of demurrage or detention

  • rkstCode : The RKST code for the import location where the DnD charges are applied. The code format is used internally in Maersk network

  • chargePerDiemAfterFreetime : The data about charges per day after the allowed free time

    • startDayOfCharge : The start day from when the charges apply (after the free time)

    • endDayOfCharge : The end day until the charges apply

    • chargePerDiem : The charge fee per day

    • currencyOfCharge : The currency of charge

  • displayName : The DnD import condition name
